The chawan tea ceremony is a quite appropriate as a method for Taiwanese people to enjoy tea as it promotes using a good chawan from an original artist to drink tea. The flexibility in the ceremonial rituals is appropriate for the Taiwanese people, who are responsive, receptive, not bound to formalities, and have an affinity for innovation.

We start to introduces four kind chawan tea ceremony now!

Communal Chawan Service

The tea is brewed in a communal bowl, and a tea spoon is used to divide the tea into cups before serving one-by-one.
Brewing tea in a communal bowl originated from the taste tests held by the tea farmers.

Cold Tea Service

Using a chawan with a spout, warm the bowl, place the tea, and pour in water. When the tea obtains flavor, pour it into a chawan with ice in it to rapidly cool it down for cold tea. That the tea cools you from the mouth to the heart makes it most fitting for the summer.

Dragon Pot Service

The third Taiwan Chawan Tea Ceremony method serves tea in the bowl after first brewing in a traditional dragon pot or top-handle pot. This form is most suitable for those who prefer a more traditional style or someone who does not care for form.Serving tea with a traditional dragon pot represents this kind feeling shared by the Taiwanese. When they say the best attraction in Taiwan is the people, they are talking about this kindness. Through serving tea with a dragon pot, we want to pass on the kind, altruistic spirit of Taiwan.

Single Bowl Service

Single bowl service is to warm the bowl, place the tea, pour the water, then serve the tea to the guest, all with a single chawan. Almost every guest who has experienced this have been amazed, especially those from outside Taiwan. They all agree that a tea ceremony like this demonstrates well the tea culture of Taiwan which is simultaneously casual and refined.

This brewing style originates from how the Taiwanese people feel confident and easy-going about their tea.

One person, one chawan. One chawan, one world.
