Taiwan Chawan Tea Ceremony
溫 置 注 奉 , 靜 緩 觀 品
品 茶 見 性 , 茶 中 見 覺

At the main exhibition hall of the Taiwan International Chawan Festival, savor a fine bowl of tea and immerse yourself in a five-senses journey — warming, arranging, pouring, serving, quietude, grace, observing, and tasting. In the stillness of enjoying a single bowl, from the unfolding of a tea leaf to the fragrance of an entire tea garden, everything is gathered within the chawan. Holding its warmth in your hands, the tea becomes a gentle offering, connecting person to person, and humanity to nature.
In the Third Taiwan International Chawan Festival, the concept of the “Universe in a Chawan” will be conveyed through the more than 400 chawans made by 75 artists from 20 countries. The audience can pause to appreciate the works with the breadth of the Earth and the depth that spans through time.

A tea gathering is a living culture — born from the essence of tea, harmonized through thoughtful pairing and the use of teaware, infused with aesthetic sensibility, and revealed in the spirit of the tea itself.
