After four days and three nights of high-temperature treatment at more than 1250 degrees, the wood-fired chawan becomes a world unto itself. The size, streamlined shape and textures are all the result of a creative process that culminates in a chawan that is unique. Additionally, the wood-fired falling ash glaze waterfall and multi-colored crystalline glazes contribute in presenting a world of natural simplicity that is warm and layered all within the tea bowl.
