Change and transformation are constant companions in our lives; through them, we grow and evolve. With these Chawans, I have shaped the basic form, originally created on the wheel, with my hands. The tea bowl carves out its own space, gently conforming to the shape of the hand that holds it and brings it to the lips. In this way, the tea bowl, as a vessel for the tea, is drawn closer to the body, establishing an intimate connection between the tea and the drinker.”
