天目是一門非常細膩的藝術，在燒成過程中任何細微的調整都會改變它的風貌。想來想去不管如何燒製也難以燒成心目中完美的作品。我時常回想與天目第一次的邂逅，那是從沒想像過的美麗。所以自己的天目是閃亮光輝如海，黃昏時的天空一樣的，想作出讓許多人認為美麗的天目更能秉持普遍的美，是我一生祈求的。
Tenmoku is a very delicate art. Any minor adjustment can alter its resulting appearances. I contemplated the matter and realized that no methods could produce the perfect work in my mind. I often think back to my first introduction to Tenmoku. I never expected I would come across such beauty. My Tenmoku glitters like light dancing on the surface of the ocean or like the dusk sky. My lifelong pursuit is to create Tenmoku that is acknowledged in the eyes of all people.
