我做的每一只茶碗都是過去近三十年來持續探索的一部分。工作室四周的荒野為我提供原始的岩石,讓我得以研究釉藥、色彩與光澤的可能性;爐灶產生的灰燼也是我的材料——這是一種環保而迷人的方式,將廢棄物重新轉化。

自行築窯,是我找到將塵土化為光亮的最佳途徑。我的創作始終致力於突破高溫釉的極限,這是一條需要時間、耐心與內在平靜的道路。當成果令人驚喜時,我便知道這次我贏得了與火的賭注。這正是我創作的意義!

只有當作品超越預期,我才會將它帶到像臺灣國際茶碗節這樣的國際性展覽中。在那裡,作品遇見那些懂得欣賞器型、釉色、實用性、傳統與我個人美學追求之間和諧關係的藏家們。

 

Each chawan I make is part of the research I've been carrying out for almost 30 years. The wilderness around my studio provides the rocks used to explore glazes, colors and brilliances. I also use ashes from my stove. It's an eco-friendly and fascinating way of recycling waste.

Building my own kilns is the best way I've found to transmute dust into light. I try to push back the limits of what is possible in the field of high-temperature glazes. This process requires time, patience and peace. When the result amazes me, I know that this time, the bet has been won. This is what I live for!

When it is beyond all expectations, I can show my work in an international exhibition like the Taiwan Chawan Festival. There, it meets collectors who are aware of this harmony between shape, glaze, functional needs, tradition, and my own aesthetic desires.
