DETAIL
My chawans are hand-formed using pinching techniques, which make it easier to identify
one’s style. The material is unprocessed clay, which I personally handcrafted to ensure the
correct firing temperature. For firing, I use a wood-fired kiln, which creates a natural glaze
through the firing process at temperatures between 1400 to 1500 degrees Celsius, giving the
hand-formed chawans a lively and unique character.
