gives me an unending freedom to explore, to go deep and to express. Explore combinations of
form, texture, pattern, colour. Dive into raw materials and their blending. Create combinations of
diverse qualities to find new expressions – mixing coarse and rough with refined and delicate etc.
I hand build large stoneware vessels in organic and strict shapes, with ‘weathered’ sensuous
surface structures, using semitransparent layers of slips, glazes, and oxides to give depth. Mostly I
use a palette of subdued earth colours.
Some works are wheel thrown or slip cast.
My main inspiration comes from nature: all kinds of geological processes, powerful organic shapes,
the sea, plants. It is like working with the raw materials in a kind of considered ‘geological’ process.
I hope to obtain a radiance of meditative calm, natural beauty, inner power, presence in my work.
陶土是最適合維持我創作熱情的媒介。創作的過程給予我無限自由去深入、探索、表現自我。探
索不同外型、質地、花紋、顏色等。深入了解不同材料與結合。創造多元特性的組合，發掘新的
表現方式，例如將粗獷與細緻結合等。
透過手捏，我創作擁有精準、有機外型的大型陶石器皿，並在表面做出看似經歷「日曬雨淋」的
感性結構，再用半透明的化妝土、釉料、氧化物層賦予深度。多數時候我採用黯淡的大地色系。
有些作品是以拉胚或注漿模型的方式製作。
我的主要靈感來自大自然：各種地質活動、有機形態、大海、植物等。運用這些天然素材的過程
就像是地質活動一樣。
我希望能讓我的作品散發出沉穩的光輝並擁有一股自然美與內在的力量。
