I like to create chawans because they often present varying visuals and handfeel based on variations in the form and glaze color. This gives me great spiritual pleasure when I'm making the chawans and also expectations for each chawan. I hope that every chawan can afford the drinker a feeling that puts them in a different space. I also hope that the person holding the warm tea in the palm of their hands can feel the warmth of the people.
