The utility of a chawan comes from its "emptiness". It's the "emptiness" that serves people. This "emptiness" that arises from the structure of the chawan and the chilliness of November are the inspiration for these works. By throwing a two-layered structure, I can explore the space created by the changing curvatures and its relationship to the improvement in heat insulation. Throughout the process, I try to detach the artificial desire to express and impose control from my work. Instead, I hope to create an "empty" and variable chawan that arises simply from the dialogue between the clay and the air.
