環保柴燒不只是一個理念,更是一種生活方式。
A lot of people mistakenly think wood-firing is harmful to the environment: wood is burnt, trees are cut, and black smoke is created. However, in fact, wood-firing is the most environmentally friendly way to fire ceramics. It can even become an eco-friendly lifestyle that revolutionizes the values of human civilization. Below, the eco-friendly wood-firing strongly promoted by Lin Jui-Hwa is explained from three perspectives: Overturning Conceptions, Operation in Practice, and Ideals.
Mr. Lin Ruihua is a fervent advocate of the concept of "Eco-friendly Wood Firing." He built his own wood-fired kiln in 1999 and published the book "New Era of High-Temperature Wood Firing" in 2011, explaining and organizing the concepts of "High-Temperature Wood Firing" and "How to Build a High-Temperature Wood-fired Kiln." In 2016, Mr. Lin set the Guinness World Record for "Highest Temperature in a Wood-fired Kiln," showcasing his expertise in wood firing and its application in modern ceramic art. In this lecture, he will share how to create eco-friendly, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly wood-fired ceramics, bridging the gap between craftsmanship and everyday life.
