Opening Ceremony 

The opening ceremony of the Taiwan International Chawan Festival will
offer the audience an unforgettable performance. 

Location: Miaobei Art Center Auditorium

Nibun Chorus: The Beauty of Aboriginal Culture

Inspired by the native mountain tea from the Hanaku Natural Tea Farm,
the Nibun Chorus will offer the audience the voice of the aboriginal lands,
with a unique performance brimming with the fascinating melody of life
in nature.

Two Person Chawan Tea Ceremony: Harmony between Dance and Tea
Ceremony

The Two Person Chawan Tea Ceremony performed by Chen Yu-Ting will
portray the core spirit of Taiwanese Chawan Tea Ceremony through
modern dance. Through her movements, she will show the audience the
spiritual realm of Tea Ceremony. From the unfurling of the leaves to the
perfusion of tea aroma, the one bowl of tea offers an experience for the
body and mind that spans across stillness and movement.

客語歌曲創作歌手陳永淘:樸實動人的音樂旋律
Hakka Singer/Songwriter Chen Yong-Tao: Simple yet moving melodies

Chen will lead the audience to recall the winds of their hometown and
sweet childhood memories with his affectionate voice and delicate
songwriting, His lyrics could always find a way to move us and allow us to
feel the simple but powerful emotions of the Hakka songs.

These performances will play off each other during the opening
ceremony, putting the charm of the cultural diversity of Taiwan on
display. The audience can feel the power of Taiwanese culture at the
Chawan festival and immerse themselves in this feast of dance, music,
and tea ceremony performances.

To get tickets for the opening ceremony:

1. 8/10 - 9/7 Request at the information desk on the first floor at Miaobei
Art Center (Limit 4 per person)
2. 9/8 On the day of the event
9:30 - 13:00 Request at the Taiwanese Ceramics Culture Association desk
(B1 Miaobei Art Center)
12:00 - 13:50 Request at the entrance of the Auditorium on the 1st floor
at the Miaobei Art Center
3. By supporting the Chawan Festival. Donate NTD 200 to the Taiwanese
Ceramics Cultural Association to receive two tickets to the opening
ceremony.
4. Tickets to the Taiwan International Chawan Festival are free. As space
is limited, please treasure every ticket and ensure you can attend before
requesting a ticket.
